GetGit uses a complicated shortcode syntax (detailed in the README file) to retrieve, embed and syntax highlight source code hosted via GitHub repositories.

The plugin does not need a GitHub API key and also allows the admin to change the shortcode syntax when needed.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
